For the past 20 years healthcare spending has grown faster than the economy as a whole. In the next ten years it is estimated that annual expenditures on healthcare will reach $4.3 trillion. There are a number of contributing factors, but none more pressing than the aging of our population coupled with increases in chronic illness and subsequent system utilization. It is the complex care needs of relatively few patients — only 10 percent — that account for the majority of healthcare expenditures — as much as 70 percent.

At Dovetail Health, we partner with health plans to implement turnkey programs for the complex patients at the root of increasing healthcare costs. Services are designed, and are most effective, when integrated with existing programs on both the health plan and provider levels.
