FAQs

BEGINNING WITH DOVETAIL

Do you provide services where I live?
Dovetail Health is currently available in most of Massachusetts, and we are in the process of expanding. Please call to find out if services are available in your area.

USING DOVETAIL TECHNOLOGY

What do I need in order for the technology to work?
All you need is a phone line. The technology is simple and requires no special equipment. A member of your Dovetail team will install it and set it up for you.

Is the technology difficult to use?
The technology is very easy to use. Your Dovetail Registered Nurse will show you how to use the device. In addition, we will provide you with materials that clearly and simply describe how to use the device, in case you have questions after she leaves.

PRIVACY AND OTHER CARETAKERS

Will my medical information be kept private?
All medical information will be kept strictly confidential as required by law. Medical information will only be released if and when you have signed a consent form that indicates you would like your medical information to be shared with that specific person or group of people.

How will my doctor be involved, if at all?
With your written consent, Dovetail will inform your doctor(s) of your participation in the program. As appropriate, we will share important health trend and other information with your doctors.

How will my family be involved, if at all?
We encourage you to involve your family in your Dovetail healthcare services. As with your doctor, you will have to give written consent before Dovetail can work with your family.

SOLVING PROBLEMS

Who do I call if I have a problem?
You can call Dovetail at 866-570-2220 if you have any problems. However, Dovetail Health is not an emergency response service. Our clinical staff are available Monday through Friday, during regular business hours. Should you call during off hours, our phones are answered 24 hours/day, 7 days/week. If you have an emergency, call your physician directly, or call 9-1-1.

What if my monitoring device breaks?
If your monitoring device breaks, you can just call a member of your care team at 1-866-570-2220.

What if I want a different care team?
If you request to change a member of your care team, for a personal or other reason, we will make every effort to accommodate that request. Our first priority is to make sure that you are healthy, happy, and satisfied with the services you are receiving.

Can I cancel Dovetail services if I no longer want them?
Yes, your participation is entirely voluntary, and you can cancel Dovetail services at any time for any reason.
